Smart Bum

I am willing to give away $500,000. That's half a million dollars.

I'll make this short and simple. As perhaps with many people, it is my goal to become a millionaire in the shortest and quickest amount of time.

Am I bum? I suppose you could label me as that, but if you do then you could consider me an advanced bum, The Smart Bum.

You know I bet you get really sick of seeing all these bums on every single street corner, begging for money. It's such an eyesore isn't?

Don't you hate it when you pull up to the red light and stop, and there they are, just staring at you looking all pathetic, I mean really, and even when you ignore them, you can just feel them staring at you until finally you give in and give them a glance, and maybe read a bit of their homeless sign.

I know I do, but I wouldn't be so sick of it if they at least had something to offer. I mean shit, at least have something to offer, like go get some free Thrifty Nickels or something, then ask for donations or something like that, don't just stand there looking like a bum, do something.

Besides, if I gave to one bum out of the kindness of my heart, which I have done of course, then I would have to give to every bum, that's the kind of person I am.

So what makes me so different?

  • Well for one I'm good enough to find a free website host as this one you are looking at right now and design it in such a way that it looks half way appealing.

  • I'm willing to share half of the million dollars that I will get.
What!? Yes you heard right I am willing to give away half a million dollars once I do reach millionaire status.

How will I do this?

Well I realize this could possibly take a while, so here's what I came up with.

In order to give away half a million dollars, I decided to break it up a little by giving away $50 to every one hundredth person who donates just $1. Hey it's the best I can do, after all I am the Smart Bum.

You may be asking well how will we know when and who that 100th person is? Very easy, there's a comment section below, and if you simply leave a comment with a number at the very beginning, that is just above the previous comment, along with your first and last name, then we can all see who is who and where in the list they are because it will be in order. In this way we can all hold each other accountable.

So I will start it off with the first comment or two as an example of how your comment or post should look like.

In this way it would be easy to make sure that every 100th person would receive $50, each and every time. Not a bad deal right?, and that would be my way of thanking you for helping out.

Also by leaving a comment with an ordered number and your name would force me to make sure that the 100th person will indeed be transferred $50 into their PayPal account, because by then enough people could see that this is a very legitimate idea, and any negative comment would simply just slow the process down, which is basically all of our processes!

As a show of faith that this is a good idea, please help me and yourself out now by clicking the donate button just below here

Why should you give?

  • Its Good Karma, and it only takes $1.

  • You’ll feel good about yourself.

  • Yes, just one single dollar can make a difference for you and for the Smart Bum.

Smart Bum’s goal is to raise himself out of the seemingly lose-lose situation of being in the ranks of the working but poor... the freelance legion who always get paid last, if at all...

And you can help.

Donate via Paypal – just one dollar bill,

Are there any rules of conduct that I should be aware of?

Yes, yes there is, and they are extremely simple. Only donate a dollar, yes that's it, just one dollar, nothing more, nothing less.

This will keep the comments in the correct order down below and will also make it easier to figure out who the 100th person is to give away $50 by simply matching up the numbered comment and name with the donation I see in my own PayPal account.

You can donate using any method you like, but I recommend having a PayPal account, I have been with them for years and years now and have never once had a problem with them, and their security is getting better and better.

Of course, you can donate more than a dollar if you choose… but a dollar is all I ask… if you so choose to donate more than just $1, then use this PayPal button instead, and if you leave a comment, do not use a number at the beginning because those are meant for the 1$ donors.

Do not try to leave a comment with a number at the beginning if you didn't donate, I'll be able to tell and your comment will be deleted, hey there's gotta be some moderation here right?

As with most everything, this is not a perfect system and so there are bound to be things that aren't in order, for instance the comments don't line up with the PayPal list, but don't worry, the PayPal list will prevail as that will keep track of every single person and how much they have donated, so that is what I will go by and will be 100% accurate.

Your Thoughts and Suggestions

I have thought fairly deeply on a way for everybody to receive free money, but doing so is almost like trying to create a perpetual motion machine and I can't ever seem to find anything that would allow for this situation to occur without someone else losing out somehow, and it is not my intentions to create a pyramid scheme, because those only work out for one person.

At least in this way, every 100th person will receive $50 each and every time, so if you have any suggestions on how it could be possible for every single person to receive money each and every time, then your suggestions are completely welcome! Thanks in advance.

  1. 1. Marc Florez. Let's say I just donated just $1. This is what my comment would appear as.

  2. This is just a normal comment without a number and name, because I either donated more than $1, or just simply want to leave a comment without donating.

  3. 2. Patricia Halfon. Ok this person donated $1 and so this is how the second comment would appear as and so forth...
